Making PAW-sitive change for Guide Dogs

Over the past few weeks here at Signarama New Farm, our Pawsitivity Manager Amity has been wagging up a brand new scheme and taking the initiative to make a difference in our community. In partnership with local businesses, owners and clients, we received our very own bright green Containers for Change bin to raise money for Guide Dogs Queensland! As a Labrador herself, the Guide Dogs mean an incredible amount to Amity and her family. Her cousins play a crucial role in the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired. These amazing dogs provide not just companionship but also independence, mobility, and a sense of security to those in need. Guide Dogs Queensland relies heavily on donations and community support to continue their vital work, and that's where we come in! From learning good habits at home, and implementing them in the workplace. Amity recognised the power recycling has in raising funds for a noble cause. Having an initiative that encourages employees to recycle by placing their eligible containers in a convenient would guarantee a successful stream of donations in the office. Plus, it's an eco-friendly way to reduce our collective environmental footprint. A win-win for everyone involved, and a good job Amity! How Can You Get Involved? Start Collecting Containers: Gather those empty cans, bottles, and containers that you would normally toss in the recycling bin. Check the Containers for Change website to see which items are eligible for refunds. Drop-off at Signarama New Farm: Our bright green bin (and Amity) stands proud in our reception! Drop them in and give Amity a pat while you're there. Alternatively: you can make donations via our Scheme ID: 11089658 on the Containers for Change website. Our aim is to not only contribute to Guide Dogs Queensland but also promote recycling and sustainability within our community. We believe that together, we can raise substantial funds while making a PAW-sitive impact on the environment. Every bottle, can, or container you bring in is a step closer to providing independence and companionship to someone who truly needs it. It's a small action that can lead to a big change. Let's join hands and paws to make this fundraiser a roaring success! Together, we can make a difference and help Guide Dogs Queensland continue their essential work. Stay tuned for updates on our progress via our social media and website.
