Lest We Forget On ANZAC Day, we wear the red poppy for remembrance — a quiet tribute to lives lost and courage shown. At the dawn service, as the first light breaks, we gather in reflection, honouring the brave men and women who served. At 11am, we pause for a minute of silence, united in respect for those who fought for freedom. Later, we share ANZAC cookies, a simple tradition that connects us to the past. These were once sent to soldiers — known as "diggers" — a term born in the trenches of World War I, symbolizing the resilience, loyalty, and spirit of those who served. Lest we forget.
