Pointed in the Right Direction: New Wayfinding Signs for The Grand View Hotel

The Grand View Hotel is a beautiful, sprawling venue, but with so many great spots like the Garden Bar and the Stradbroke Marquee, it’s easy for guests to lose their way! Our team was asked to create some clear, stylish wayfinding signs that matched the relaxed, coastal feel of the hotel while helping everyone find exactly where they need to go. Because these signs are living outdoors in the Cleveland breeze, we chose materials that can handle the elements. We used a mix of marine-grade plywood for that natural look and routed ACM (a strong, lightweight metal-based panel) for the directional fingers. We finished them off with high-quality digital prints to make sure the text stays sharp and easy to read for years to come. The final result is a set of signs that look like they’ve always been there. From the Bistro to the Kids Play Area, everything is now clearly marked with a clean, rustic charm. It’s a great example of how simple, well-placed signage can make a huge difference in how guests enjoy a big venue.
