Large-Scale Event Signage Installation at the Entertainment Grounds, Gosford

At Signarama Tuggerah, we love bringing large-scale event signage to life and our latest project for The Entertainment Grounds was a great example of how thoughtful design, durable materials and precise installation come together to create impactful outdoor advertising. The project involved installing large-format event banners promoting the upcoming Country Music Race Day, ensuring the signage could be clearly seen by passing traffic travelling toward Gosford. The signage was strategically positioned along the roadside to maximise visibility from multiple directions, including traffic approaching from the nearby intersection and towards the direction of McDonald's Gosford. To support the banners, we installed a robust post and mesh system designed for both durability and wind management. Installation specifications included the following: - 53 x Copper Log Posts - 100mm diameter copper logs - 2500mm total height - 700mm installed in ground - 200mm clearance from ground to mesh Fence Mesh System was as followed: - Existing mesh size: 10,000mm (W) x 1600mm (H) - Mounted securely to the newly installed log posts Layout Configuration was as followed: - 1 x 10,000mm straight run to the right of the pylon line facing the intersection - 2 x 10,000mm V-shaped sections to the left of the pylon, positioned to capture traffic heading toward Gosford Materials & Hardware that were used are listed below. This is to ensure a strong and secure installation capable of withstanding outdoor conditions, we used: - 53 Bags of Builders Concrete - 53 Copper Log Posts - 112 Hex Head Fittings & Washers This heavy-duty setup ensures the structure remains stable and reliable over time, particularly in exposed roadside environments. One of the key considerations for large outdoor signage is wind load. To help reduce pressure on the banners and extend their lifespan: Wind slits were cut into the existing fence mesh to allow airflow through the material. Any new fence mesh produced for future installations will also have wind slits included during production. This approach significantly reduces strain on the structure while maintaining clear visibility of the graphics. The result of the final installation delivers a bold and eye-catching display that promotes the event while withstanding the outdoor elements. Positioned along a busy route, the signage ensures maximum exposure for visitors heading into the Entertainment Grounds.
